Prime contract change orders (PCCOs)

After a change order is approved, you can create a PCCO and link it to potential change orders (PCOs). A PCCO can increase the value of the prime contract or increase the number of days allotted for completing the scope of work described in the prime contract.

The PCCO includes a banner that displays:

  • Budget - Original contract: The original value of the contract.
  • Budget - Changes to date: The total applied budget from the previous PCCOs for the contract.
  • Budget - This change: The total applied budget from the current PCCO.
  • Budget - Contract to this CO: The original contract value plus the total applied budget from the previous PCCOs and the current PCCO.
  • Time - Original contract: The original substantial date of the contract.
  • Time - Changes to date: The total number of approved days from the previous PCCOs for the contract.
  • Time - This change: The number of approved days from the current PCCO.
  • Time - Contract to this CO: The original substantial date plus the total number of approved days from the previous PCCOs and the current PCCO.

The number of days in the Approved Days field and in the banner are calculated automatically when you link PCOs. You can also enter the number but it's overwritten by the calculated total if you link or remove a PCO. The total isn't recalculated if you change the number of approved days in a linked PCO or if you delete the linked PCO.

PCCOs for the same contract automatically have consecutive sequence numbers. You can manage PCOs and edit approved days only for the PCCO with the highest sequence number.
