Courtesy copies

In a record, you can add people to the courtesy copies list. They have access to the record but aren't required to take any action on it.

  1. Open the record.
  2. In the Information panel of the record view, click people, and then expand the Courtesy Copies section.

    In the Information panel of the full record, expand the Courtesy Copies section.

When you add a courtesy copy to a draft record, the record automatically changes to the next workflow status in the list. If the notification setting is on, courtesy copy recipients receive an email when they're added.

  1. In the Courtesy Copies section of the panel, click Add.

    2. The contact popover only displays the active project contacts. To search for or create other active contacts in the Contact Search dialog, click Contact search icon (Contact Search).

  2. Select a person, who can only be assigned once to the record.

    3. A contact card is added to the Courtesy Copies section.

If you've been copied on a record, you can add a comment and link items to it by replying to the email notification.

  1. Open the email notification, and create a reply.

    2. In the email notification, click Reply.

  2. In the reply email, enter your comment above the indicated line.

    3. To include a web link, enter the URL in the reply. In ProjectSight, you can't click the link, but you can copy and paste it into a browser.

  3. Attach files to your response.

    4. The files will be linked to the comment in the record.

  4. Send the reply.

    5. The reply is added to the Comments tab of the record.

  • In the Courtesy Copies section of the panel, click the side of a contact card, and drag it to a different position.
  • On the contact card, click more_horiz (More) > Remove.

    • This person will no longer receive notifications.
