Search tips
- To search in a subset of topics, click in the search field and select a filter.
- To search for a specific word or phrase, add quotation marks around it (example: "budget column") in the search field.
- To remove highlighting on the search terms in a topic, click .
- To search within a topic, click , press Ctrl+F, and enter the search term.
Assignments
You can assign a drawing set or specific drawings in the set to other people. If a drawing has any assignments, the assignments icon on the row is active (person).
- Open the drawing set.
- In the Information panel, expand the Assigned To section.
- In the drawing set, open the drawing.
- In the Information panel, expand the Assigned To section.
- Open the Drawings and Specifications module.
- If the Assignments panel is closed, click (Assignments).
- In the By section, select the filters.
- Assigned To: The name of the assignee.
- Company: The company of the assignee.
- Record Type: The type of assigned item.
- Status: The status of the assigned item.
- Due Date: The due date of the assignment. If an assignment doesn't have a due date, the record due date, if available, is used.
- To open a drawing set from the panel, click one of the following:
- chevron_right (Open): Open the drawing set in the current tab.
- open_in_new (Open): Open the drawing set in a new tab.
- In the data view, select the drawing sets, and then click (Send) on the toolbar.

On the assignment card, click more_horiz (More) > Send Assignment Reminder.
Reminders are sent only for open assignments.
If the notification setting is on, assignees receive an email when they're added. Assignees can add a comment to the drawing set or drawing by replying to the notification.
The drawing set must have a non-draft workflow status so that the assignments are visible to assignees.
- Open the drawing set.
- In the Assigned To section of the panel, click Add.
- Select a person, who can only be assigned once to the record.
- On the contact card, add or edit the due date.
The contact popover only displays the active project contacts. To search for or create other active contacts in the Contact Search dialog, click (Contact Search).
A contact card is added to the Assigned To section. The assignment is also noted in the activity stream of the drawing.
- In the drawing set, open the drawing.
- In the Assigned To section of the panel, click Add.

- On the contact card, add or edit the due date.

If you're assigned to a drawing set or drawing, you can add a comment and link items to it by replying to the email notification. However, the assignment isn't marked as done until you manually change it.
- Open the email notification, and create a reply.
- In the reply email, enter your comment above the indicated line.
- Attach files to your response.
- Send the reply.
In the email notification, click Reply.
To include a web link, enter the URL in the reply. In ProjectSight, you can't click the link, but you can copy and paste it into a browser.
The files will be uploaded to the quick upload folder for the drawing set or drawing.
The reply is added to the Comments tab of the drawing set or drawing.
- In the Assigned To section of the panel, click and drag a contact card to a different position.
Assignments don't have to be completed in this order.
- On the contact card, click (Calendar), and select the new date.
You can only change the due date for assignments that aren't completed yet.
- On the contact card, click check (Mark Done), so it becomes green (check).
- On the contact card, click more_horiz (More) > Remove.
This person will no longer receive notifications.
