- To search in a subset of topics, click in the search field and select a filter.
- To search for a specific word or phrase, add quotation marks around it (example: "budget column") in the search field.
- To remove highlighting on the search terms in a topic, click .
- To search within a topic, click , press Ctrl+F, and enter the search term.

Record notifications
You can set up email notifications that will be sent to record participants. Participants include the author, assignees, and courtesy copy recipients, as well as individual contacts and contacts of companies that are listed in any standard record fields.
The following notifications may be available:
- When an assignment is added to the record, the assignee receives an email.
- When a courtesy copy is added to the record, the recipient receives an email.
- When a new comment is added to the record, record participants receive an email.
- When the workflow status of the record is changed, record participants receive an email.
- When an open assignment in an unlocked record is due soon or overdue, the assignee receives an email.
Notification settings for RFIs
- Users can turn off some notifications in their preferences.
- The RecordType - Status Changed setting determines whether emails are sent when a record changes to a status with a notification.
- Assignment reminder notifications are sent based on the schedule for the record type.
The RFI - Comments Added setting is on, but a user turns off her notifications for new comments. When a comment is added to an RFI, she doesn't receive an email, but the other record participants do.
Notifications for new comments are off for a user
If the RFI - Status Changed setting is on, a notification is sent when an RFI changes to Closed but not when it changes to Open.
Status notification is on only for the Closed status
- Open the record settings.
- Click the item type.
- On the settings menu, click Notifications.
You can turn on notifications and include a report that's attached to the email.
If the selected report becomes unavailable, the default single report is used instead.
- In the notifications list, select the Enabled checkbox for the notification.
- For daily reports: To notify contacts, select the Notify Contacts checkbox for the notification.
- To include a report with each notification, click the Include Report column, and then select a report.
- Click outside of the Include Report column.
Contacts are company and project contacts that are not ProjectSight users.
You can turn off record notifications so that email notifications aren't sent to record participants.
- In the notifications list, clear the Enabled checkbox for the notification.
When assignments are due soon or overdue, you can send email notifications to remind assignees of open assignments in unlocked records.
Users can also turn off their personal notifications, so they may not receive the assignment notification.
- In the portfolio or project settings, open the notification settings.
- To set up a notification for assignments that are due soon:
- In the Reminder Notification Time field, enter the number of days prior to the due date when the first notification will be sent.
- In the Reminder Notification section, select how often the notification will be sent.
- To set up a notification for overdue assignments:
- In the Overdue Notification section. select how often the notification will be sent.
- Select the Enabled checkbox for the notifications.
Reports can't be included with assignment notifications.
