Feature permissions

Several permissions are available on the Features tab of a security role.

You may need to grant a combination of feature, record, and field permissions to allow a specific action such as creating reports. For more details, see Permissions guide.

Lookup Lists Edit lookup lists in the settings.
Portfolios - Access Portfolio Settings Access the portfolio settings from the navigation menu.
Portfolios - Manage Roles Create and edit roles in the portfolio settings.
Portfolios - Manage Users Create and edit users in the portfolio settings.
Portfolios - Spec Sections Create and edit spec sections in the portfolio settings.
Portfolios - Upload Portfolio Images Upload images for the portfolio tiles.
Projects - Access Project Settings Access the project settings from the navigation menu or the project home page.
Projects - Can Unlock LookUp List Settings Unlock lookup lists at the project-level so that they are not inherited from the portfolio settings.
Projects - Can Unlock Project Settings Unlock project-level settings so that they are not inherited from the portfolio settings.
Projects - Distribution Lists Create and edit distribution lists in the project settings.
Projects - Locations Create and edit locations in the project settings.
Projects - Manage Users Create and edit users in the project settings.
Projects - Spec Sections Create and edit spec sections in the project settings.
Projects - Upload Project Images Upload images for the project tiles.

Can Access Models Folder View the Models link in the navigation menu and on the project dashboard (if the user has the File Library feature permission and access to a Trimble Connect project).

File Library Access the File Library module.
  • Users must have this permission to save reports to the File Library.
  • Users without this permission don't see the File Library and Models links in the navigation menu and on the project dashboard. They can still access the Models model from the Trimble Connect link.

[ERP-Name] - Link Companies * Can import and link customers and vendors from an ERP to ProjectSight companies in the portfolio settings.
[ERP-Name] - Link Projects * Can link ERP projects to ProjectSight projects in the project settings.
[ERP-Name] - Send Contracts * Can send contracts to an ERP so that they're synced.
[ERP-Name] - Send Purchase Orders * Can send purchase orders to an ERP so that they're synced.
ERP Links - Can Access Billing Dashboard link ** Can view the Billing Dashboard link for in the app switcher on the topbar.
ERP Links - Can Access Change Order Log link ** Can view the Change Order Log link in the app switcher on the topbar.
ERP Links - Can Access Change Orders link ** Can view the Change Orders link in the app switcher on the topbar.
ERP Links - Can Access Change Request Log link ** Can view the Change Request Log link in the app switcher on the topbar.
ERP Links - Can Access Cost Projections link ** Can view the Cost Projections link in the app switcher on the topbar.

* ERP feature permissions are available if the ERP integration is configured for the portfolio account.

** The available ERP links depend on your account's ERP link type, which is set by ProjectSight Support.

The MEP Solutions feature permissions are available if the portfolio is part of a Project MEP account.

Can Transfer Budget Can transfer budget amounts.
Can Export Projects Can export all the records as PDF reports from the current project.
Can perform actions on behalf of other users via the API Can submit requests to the API on behalf of another user. The API creates or updates the records as if the requests are from that user.
Can Resend Notifications Can resend portfolio invitations, project invitations, and assignment reminders.
Can Unlock Locked Records Unlock drawing sets and records with a locked workflow status.
Can view the history tab for all record types View the History tab in drawing sets, project forms, and all record types that have the tab.
Contract Invoices - Can Access Contract Invoices for All Companies View and modify contract invoices for all companies.

If this permission is not selected, users can only see contract invoices for their own company and not for any other companies.
Daily Reports - Can Access Equipment Records for All Companies View and modify equipment entries for all companies in a daily report.

If this permission is not selected, users can only see equipment records for their own company and not for any other companies.
Daily Reports - Can Access Labor Records for All Companies View and modify labor details for all companies in a daily report.

If this permission is not selected, users can only see labor records for their own company and not for any other companies.
Daily Reports - Can Create Daily Report Records in the future Create daily reports for future dates.

If this permission is not selected, users can only create daily reports for today's date, based on the timezone in their profile, or earlier.
Drawings - Can Create and Modify Public Annotations Create and modify annotations that are visible to other users.
Drawings - Can Download As Built Drawings Download as-built drawings with linked items.
Links - Create Link an item to another item.
Links - Delete Delete the link to an item.
Links - Modify Select whether the linked item is included in notifications. For linked files, edit the file name and description.
Links - View View a linked item.
Potential Change Orders - Can Access PCO Items for All Companies View and modify PCO items for any company in a PCO.

If this permission is not selected, users can only see PCO items for their own company and not for any other companies.
Print Create the selected reports from the Reports section of the Features tab.
Specifications - Can Create and Modify Public Annotations Create and modify annotations that are visible to other users.
Specifications - Can Download As Built Specifications Download as-built specifications with linked items.
