Search tips
- To search in a subset of topics, select
in the search field and select a filter. - To search for a specific word or phrase, add quotation marks around it (example: "budget column") in the search field.
- To remove highlighting on the search terms in a topic, select
. - To search within a topic, select
, press Ctrl+F, and enter the search term.
Project linking
This feature is available if the ERP integration is configured for the portfolio account.
An ERP job (project) can be linked to only one ProjectSight project at a time.
The list of ERP jobs is based on the workspace ID that's associated with the ProjectSight portfolio account. All projects associated with the workspace ID are listed, regardless of your access to those jobs in the ERP application.
- Create a job in the ERP application and a project in ProjectSight before you link them.
- After you link an ERP project to your ProjectSight project, you can't change or remove the link.
- Open the portfolio.
- In the list view, look at the Linked column, which displays the ERP name if the project is linked.

In the tile view, look for project tiles that display (ERP Link), and hover over the icon to see the ERP name.
You can manually link ERP jobs (projects) in the general project settings.
This option is available if there are jobs available for linking.
- In the portfolio settings, link an ERP company to the portfolio.
- Open the project settings, and select General on the settings menu.
- In the [ERP-Name] section, select Link Project to [ERP-Name].
- From the Project list, select the job, and then select Link.
- In the confirmation dialog, select Save.
If an ERP company is not linked to the portfolio, you can't link an ERP job.
The list contains jobs that are associated with the linked ERP project.
Portfolio administrators can import ERP jobs (projects) and automatically link them to new ProjectSight projects.
- On the project selection page, select
(Import projects). - To filter the list of ERP jobs by the number or name, use the Search field.
- In the Portfolio column, select a portfolio for each job that you want to import.
- Select the checkbox for each job that has a selected portfolio.
- For each selected job, select a project template and the options that you want to copy to the new ProjectSight project.
- Project template: Select an existing project that you want to copy.
- Project settings: To copy project-specific settings from the selected project template, select the checkbox.
- Team members: To copy team members from the selected project template, select the checkbox.
- File library folders: To copy the folder structure and permissions from the File Library, select the checkbox.
- In the Trimble Connect column, select an unlinked Trimble Connect project or add a new one.
- Select Import.
This button is available if there are ERP jobs available for importing.
The linked ProjectSight project is created in the selected portfolio.
To import a job, you must select a portfolio and the checkbox in its row.
If your account or the selected project template uses Trimble Connect as the file management system, you must select a Trimble Connect project. Otherwise, this step is optional.
In the Import projects dialog, you can only cancel imports that haven't started yet and imports that have failed.
- On the Import ERP projects page, select the History tab.
To filter the list of imported projects by the number, name, or person who did the import, use the Search field.
