Default assignees

Default assignees are assigned automatically to new records, drawing sets, and drawings

Records with default assignees are created in the first non-draft workflow status.

  1. In the portfolio or project settings, click Record Settings.
  2. Click the item type.
  3. On the settings menu, click Default Assignees.

You can set the default assignee by discipline (RFIs only), contact, or project role.

  • If you set default assignees by discipline for RFIs, assignees are added automatically to an RFI when a discipline is selected.
  • If you select a project role, each contact in that role is assigned automatically to new records. Project roles are assigned in the Project form.

  1. In the Default Assignees section, click Configure Assignees.
  2. From the list, select Discipline.
  3. Click the Default for unassigned disciplines field, and then select a contact.

    4. The selected contact is the default assignee for any unassigned disciplines.

  4. For each discipline, select a contact.
  5. To add another contact to a discipline, click Add assignee, and then select the discipline and contact in the new row.

    6. Rows that are incomplete or duplicates will be ignored when you save the changes.

  6. Click Save.

    7. A read-only list of the default assignees is displayed in the Default Assignees section.

  1. In the Default Assignees section, click Configure Assignees.
  2. From the list, select Contacts, click Add assignee, and then select a contact.

    Select Project Role, and then select a role.

  3. Click Save.

    4. A read-only list of the default assignees is displayed in the Default Assignees section.

You can edit or remove the default assignee.

  1. In the Default Assignees section, click Configure Assignees.
  2. Select an option from the list, and then click Save.

  3. Click Save.
