Daily Reports
You can use daily reports to track the daily activity of the crews on the job site.
Daily reports are not applicable for projects in the free version of ProjectSight.
License: Certain actions, such as adding daily reports, require a license as well as security permission. Contact your project administrator if you are unable to perform some actions using the mobile app.
- Downloads all daily reports
- Number of daily reports downloaded
- Record status
- Approved records are locked and cannot be updated
- Date of report
- Downloads all the drawings or files linked to this daily report. Any new links will be automatically downloaded when the project is synced.
- Total approved labor
- Weather condition
- Number of notes
- Copy from another daily report
- Save the record
- Date of report
- Record status - Approving a daily report does not affect the labor cards.
- Total lost productivity. Select
to change the unit of measurement.
- A summary of the latest weather entry
- If the Project Settings are set to automatic weather entry and the total rainfall is zero, Auto populated displays. If total snowfall or rainfall is entered, those entries will display instead.
- If the Project Settings are set to automatic weather entry and the total rainfall is zero, Auto populated displays. Select
to manually enter a value.

Rainfall and snowfall units of measurements are set in your web settings.

Workforce: Labor Card (Daily Reports AI Assistant - Closed Beta)
Charlie, the chatbot for Daily Labor Reports, is available to ProjectSight Enterprise and Go users, in English, and requires an active internet connection. If you are interested in AI Assistant beta testing, please contact Michael Peterson at michael_peterson@trimble.com.
The Daily Reports AI Assistant does not support projects with Labor settings configured to Detailed. If Detailed labor settings are configured, the chatbot icon does not display in the Labor section of a daily report.
- Select to open the Charlie chatbot
- Approve all labor cards
- Copy labor data from another daily report

When you have provided enough information, Charlie creates a suggested labor entry that you must approve.
- Select to edit the suggested labor card
- Select to accept the suggested labor card

When you select Edit for a suggested labor card, an editable card displays.

If you want to pause audio, select again. To quickly toggle audio on or off, double tap. If you make a selection by double tapping, that selection is remembered across chat sessions.
If a chatbot prompt for company, crew, or location is ambiguous, Charlie displays a selectable list with close matches so you can choose an option. See the following example that begins with a prompt to add a labor entry for a company.
Example 1
Use your voice or enter text to select a company from the list, or if you need to offer additional or different information you can do so at any time during the chatbot session.
The selected company is highlighted blue. Once you select a company, Charlie offers a list of crews to select from.
Use your voice or enter text to select a crew from the list. Once Charlie has enough information, you are presented with a proposed labor entry.
You can accept, reject, or edit the proposed labor card.
If Charlie offers more than 10 options for a company, crew, or location, a link to a lookup list is offered instead of a selectable list.
Example 2
Here is an example of a response that offers more than 10 options for location.
Select the link to view and search a list of options.
Choose an option, then select Select to return to the chatbot session. Charlie may request additional information. Once Charlie has enough information, you are presented with a proposed labor entry that you can accept, reject, or edit.
Daily Reports
- In the Daily Reports list view, select
. - On the Create Daily report page, choose the date, then select Add.

Workflow templates are not applicable for Free or Go projects.
If the start step of a template is unrestricted, or you have security permissions for a restricted start step, you can access and create an item with a workflow template from the records list view.
- In the Daily reports list view, select
. - On the Create Daily report page, choose a day, then select Add.
- If there is only one template available, the New Daily Report page displays. If there are multiple templates available, the Select Template page displays. Choose a template, then select Add.
- To send courtesy copies, select CC.
- If you have permissions, you can make Assignments and require a response from assignees by selecting Assign/Assign to.
- Enter additional details and information.
- To save your updates and return to the records list, select
.
You can create only one daily report for each day.
In the list, a star icon indicates the default workflow template that is selected by your administrator.
A pop-up message displays: New Daily Report created.
