Drawing Annotations

Annotate a drawing from a record to identify the area in the drawing that needs action or information.

Annotate

  1. Open the Drawings record.
  2. Tap download icon to download a drawing.
  3. Tap the drawing to open it.
  4. On the annotations toolbar, tap the Write tool Write tool icon to select either the Pencil tool Pencil tool icon or Text tool Text tool icon.

    5. —Or—

    Tap the Shape tool Circle/square annotation icon to select either the Circle Circle annotation icon or Rectangle Square annotation icon annotation box.

    —Or—

    Tap cloud annotation to add a cloud annotation.

  5. Touch the part of the drawing where you wish to drop the annotation.
  6. Tap your annotation to make edits.

    7. An Edit pop-up displays.

  7. Tap Edit.

    8. A quick menu displays.

  8. Tap Style to adjust stroke and fill color, thickness, opacity, or border style.

    9. —Or—

    Tap Link to attach the annotated drawing to a record.

    —Or—

    Tap Copy to duplicate your annotation.

    —Or—

    Tap Delete to remove an annotation.
    Tap Undo icon to undo your last annotation action.

  9. To move the box, tap and move it to the new location. To resize the box, use the handles to adjust the size.
  10. Swipe right or left to save your annotation, or tap Blue x close icon to save your annotations and return to the Drawings list.
  1. Open the Drawings record.
  2. Tap download icon to download a drawing.
  3. Tap the drawing to open it.
  4. On the annotations toolbar, tap the Camera tool Camera tool icon to pin one or more photos or videos to your drawing.
  5. Touch the part of the drawing where you wish to drop the photo pin.

    6. A menu displays.

  6. Tap Camera roll icon Photos/Videos to select photos or videos from your camera roll.

    7. —Or—

    Tap Take photos icon Take Photos to take photos or record a new video.

  7. Tap Edit icon to edit photos with Photo properties Photo properties tool icon or to annotate your photos with the Text tool Text tool icon or Pencil tool Pencil tool icon.
  8. Tap Done.

    9. A photo carousel displays with the number of pinned attachments.

  9. Select View All to view all your photos and videos in a grid.

    10. —Or—

    Tap Add plus icon to add more photos or videos.

  10. Swipe up or down to return to the drawing annotations toolbar.
  1. Open a record.
  2. For RFI records, tap the Question or Comments box and enter your question / comment.

    3. —Or—

    For other records, in the References box, tap Add button.

  3. Tap Cloud annotation icon.
  4. Select the drawing to annotate.
  5. Touch the part of the drawing where you wish to drop the annotation box.
  6. To move the box, tap and move it to the new location. To resize the box, use the handles to adjust the size.
  7. Tap Done.
  8. Tap Add.

Edit

  1. Open the Drawings record.
  2. Tap download icon to download a drawing.
  3. Tap the drawing to open it.
  4. Tap the Photo pin Photo pin icon you want to edit.

    5. An Edit pop-up displays.

  5. Tap Edit.

    6. A quick menu displays.

  6. Tap Style to adjust fill color or opacity.

    7. —Or—

    Tap Delete to remove an annotation.
    Photos save locally to the app library even if a photo pin is deleted.

  7. To move the box, tap and move it to the new location. To resize the box, use the handles to adjust the size.

    8. Tap Undo icon to undo your last annotation action.

  8. Tap outside of the photo pin box to save it and return to the annotation toolbar.
  1. Open the Drawings record.
  2. Tap download icon to download a drawing.
  3. Tap the drawing to open it.
  4. Tap the annotation you want to edit.

    5. An Edit pop-up displays.
    You cannot edit a pin with the toolbar.

  5. Tap Edit.

    6. A quick menu displays.

  6. Tap Style to adjust stroke and fill color, thickness, opacity, or border style.

    7. —Or—

    Tap Link to attach the annotated drawing to a record.

    —Or—

    Tap Copy to duplicate your annotation.

    —Or—

    Tap Delete to remove an annotation.
    Tap Undo icon to undo your last annotation action.

  7. Swipe right or left to save your annotation, or tap Blue x close icon to save your annotations and return to the Drawings list.
