Drawing Annotations
Annotate a drawing from a record to identify the area in the drawing that needs action or information.
Annotate
- Open the Drawings record.
- Tap to download a drawing.
- Tap the drawing to open it.
- On the annotations toolbar, tap the Write tool to select either the Pencil tool or Text tool .
- Touch the part of the drawing where you wish to drop the annotation.
- Tap your annotation to make edits.
- Tap Edit.
- Tap Style to adjust stroke and fill color, thickness, opacity, or border style.
- To move the box, tap and move it to the new location. To resize the box, use the handles to adjust the size.
- Swipe right or left to save your annotation, or tap to save your annotations and return to the Drawings list.
—Or—
Tap the Shape tool to select either the Circle or Rectangle annotation box.
—Or—
Tap to add a cloud annotation.
An Edit pop-up displays.
A quick menu displays.
—Or—
Tap Link to attach the annotated drawing to a record.
—Or—
Tap Copy to duplicate your annotation.
—Or—
Tap Delete to remove an annotation.
Tap to undo your last annotation action.
- Open the Drawings record.
- Tap to download a drawing.
- Tap the drawing to open it.
- On the annotations toolbar, tap the Camera tool to pin one or more photos or videos to your drawing.
- Touch the part of the drawing where you wish to drop the photo pin.
- Tap Photos/Videos to select photos or videos from your camera roll.
- Tap to edit photos with Photo properties or to annotate your photos with the Text tool or Pencil tool .
- Tap Done.
- Select View All to view all your photos and videos in a grid.
- Swipe up or down to return to the drawing annotations toolbar.
A menu displays.

Tap Take Photos to take photos or record a new video.
A photo carousel displays with the number of pinned attachments.
—Or—
Tap to add more photos or videos.
- Open a record.
- For RFI records, tap the Question or Comments box and enter your question / comment.
- Tap .
- Select the drawing to annotate.
- Touch the part of the drawing where you wish to drop the annotation box.
- To move the box, tap and move it to the new location. To resize the box, use the handles to adjust the size.
- Tap Done.
- Tap Add.

For other records, in the References box, tap .
Edit
- Open the Drawings record.
- Tap to download a drawing.
- Tap the drawing to open it.
- Tap the Photo pin you want to edit.
- Tap Edit.
- Tap Style to adjust fill color or opacity.
- To move the box, tap and move it to the new location. To resize the box, use the handles to adjust the size.
- Tap outside of the photo pin box to save it and return to the annotation toolbar.
An Edit pop-up displays.
A quick menu displays.

Tap Delete to remove an annotation.
Photos save locally to the app library even if a photo pin is deleted.
Tap to undo your last annotation action.
- Open the Drawings record.
- Tap to download a drawing.
- Tap the drawing to open it.
- Tap the annotation you want to edit.
- Tap Edit.
- Tap Style to adjust stroke and fill color, thickness, opacity, or border style.
- Swipe right or left to save your annotation, or tap to save your annotations and return to the Drawings list.
An Edit pop-up displays.
You cannot edit a pin with the toolbar.
A quick menu displays.

Tap Link to attach the annotated drawing to a record.
—Or—
Tap Copy to duplicate your annotation.
—Or—
Tap Delete to remove an annotation.
Tap to undo your last annotation action.
