Daily reports
You can use daily reports to track the work completed that day, daily activity of the crews, and weather conditions on the job site.

In the daily report:
- You note that heavy rain on the job site caused delays for the scheduled concrete pours in Zones 1A to 1D.
- You log 40 hours of work for the day shift crew.
The daily report includes a summary bar that displays:
- The total approved labor for all companies, if you have the related permission, or the total for your company. The total unapproved labor is displayed when you point to the labor quantity.
- The most recent weather conditions based on the end time of the weather cards. If two cards have the same end time, the most recent addition is used.
- The total number of comments and linked items that you have permission to view. The links total includes items that are linked to comments, but duplicate links are only counted once.


- On the navigation toolbar, click .
- Click Field Management.
- On the Daily Reports tile, click View All.

Open the project home page.
To open today's daily report instead of the Daily Reports view, click anywhere else on the tile.

- If the Search panel is closed, click
(Search) on the navigation toolbar.
- Set the filters.
- To find daily reports with keywords in the comments and work descriptions, enter the words in the Search field.
- To find the daily report for a specific date, click the date in the calendar.
- To find daily reports with labor, weather, and comment cards that were added by a specific contact or company, use the Contributing Contacts or Contributing Companies option.

- If the Information panel isn't open, click info (Information) on the navigation toolbar.
- Click a date in the calendar, which marks the ones that have a daily report.

If you select a date without a daily report, a new report is created.
If you opened the first report from the Daily Reports view, you can click (Previous) and
(Next) to navigate between existing reports.

- On the Daily Report tab, click an item on the summary bar.
- The links total includes items that are linked to comments. However, if you click this number, the items that are linked to comments aren't affected.
- Assignment cards always remain visible.


You can create only one daily report for each day. If you select a day that already has one, that daily report is opened.

- In the Daily Reports view, on the navigation toolbar, click add_circle (Create), and then select the date.
- In the Information panel, enter the daily report details.
- Enter the total rainfall and snowfall for the day.
- Enter the total for lost productivity, and then select the unit of measurement from the UOM list.
- To add an assignment, click Add in the Assigned To section, select the name, and then set a due date.
- To add a courtesy copy, click Add in the Courtesy Copies section, and then select the name.
- In the comments field, enter a comment, click link (Links) to link items, and then click
(Send).
- Add the labor and weather details.
- To link an item to the daily report, click link (Links), click add (Add), and then select the item type.
- To save the changes and keep the daily report open, click save (Save).

To create a report for the current date, click the Daily Reports tile.
These fields aren't updated automatically if you add weather cards with rainfall and snowfall amounts.

You can add labor cards to log the daily activity for the crews from ProjectSight for the web. The labor card is filled automatically with the crew default values, which you can edit in the card.
- The company and crew combination of the labor card must be unique in the daily report.
- After you sync your project data, the date and time of new and edited labor details are updated to reflect the local time when they were synced.

- On the Daily Report tab, click Add > Labor.
- Select the company, if you have permission to do so, and the crew.
- Edit the labor details for the crew.
- Enter a description of the work.
- Click Done.

- In the labor card, select the company, if you have permission to do so, and the crew.
- Click content_copy (Copy).
- Edit the labor details.
- Click Done.

- On the navigation toolbar, click content_copy (Copy).
- In the Copy Labor from field, select a date, and then click Apply.
- Select the check boxes for the labor cards, and then click Copy.
- Change the status of each copied card to Approved.
The list displays pending and approved labor cards for company and crew combinations that aren't already in the report.

- In the activity stream, on the card, click more_horiz (More) > Edit.
- If the status is Approved, change the status to Pending.
- Edit the labor details.
- Click Done.

- From the Status list, select Approved.
- Click Done.
All the fields except Status become locked in the card.

- In the activity stream, on the card, click more_horiz (More) > Remove.

You can add weather cards to log the weather conditions at different times of the day.
- The start and end times of a weather card are considered to be on the same date even if the end time is before the start time.
- Start time: 10:00 PM
- End time: 2:00 AM
- Start time: 6:00 PM
- End time: 10:00 PM
- After you sync your project data, the date and time of new and edited weather details are updated to reflect the local time when they were synced.

You add a weather card with the following information:

Because both cards have the same end time (10:00 PM), the information from the second card, which is the most recent addition, is displayed in the summary bar.

- On the Daily Report tab, click Add > Weather.
- Enter the temperature.
- From the Conditions list, select the weather conditions.
- Enter the start and end time for the weather card.
- Enter additional weather details such as precipitation and wind.
- Click Done.

- On the weather card, click more_horiz (More) > Edit.
- Edit the weather details.
- Click Done.

- In the activity stream, on the card, click more_horiz (More) > Delete.
