Divisions

You can add, edit, and delete divisions, which are used for spec sections. When a .pdf file is uploaded to a specification set, the division for each spec section is taken from the first two numbers of the spec section. If the division doesn't exist in the settings, the Division field in the spec section is empty.

  1. Open the record settings.
  2. Select Specifications.
  3. On the settings menu, select Divisions.

You can add a unique code and an optional description for each division.

  1. Select Add new row.
  2. In the Code column, enter a unique code.
  3. In the Description column, enter the description.
  4. Press Enter.

    Select Done.

    The division is added at the bottom of the list.

  5. Select the division, and drag it to a different position in the list.

Changes to a division are applied wherever the division is used.

In the portfolio settings, you can export the division list to Excel where you can add new items.

  1. Select the Code column.
  2. Select the Description column, and then edit the description.
  3. Press Enter.
  • Select the division, and then drag it to a different position in the list.

    To sort the divisions alphanumerically, select sort_by_alpha (Sort) on the toolbar.

You can delete divisions that are in use. A deleted division remains linked to a spec section if it was previously selected, but you can't select the deleted division for anything else.

  • Point the cursor to the row, and then select cancel (Remove).

    • The division is deleted immediately from the list.
