File Library

The File Library contains your project files.

  1. On the navigation toolbar, click menu (Navigation).

    2. —Or—

    Open the project home page.

  2. Click File Library.
  • In the search field at the top-right, enter the search terms.
  • Click the file or folder.
  • If automatic synchronization is on for the folder, its files are downloaded automatically and are ready to view. You can also download individual files.
  • To see any notes and replies in a PDF, open the file in ProjectSight for the web.
  • In the breadcrumbs, click a folder.

When you add files in ProjectSight for iPad, they're saved on the Mobile File Uploads page. During synchronization, these files are uploaded to the File Library.

  1. Navigate to the folder.
  2. To open the Mobile File Uploads page, click add_circle (Upload) on the navigation toolbar.
  3. At the top-left of the Files list, click add_circle (Upload).
  4. Click Camera, and then take a photo or video with your iPad.

    5. —Or—

    Click Camera Roll, and then select a photo or video.

  5. If you took or selected a photo, add annotations to it.
  6. To close the File page, click arrow_back Done.
  7. To return to the File Library, click arrow_back Done.

You can only edit files on the Mobile File Uploads page.

  1. To open the Mobile File Uploads page, click add_circle (Upload) on the navigation toolbar.
  2. In the Files list, click the file.
  3. Edit the Description and Name fields.
  4. Click arrow_back Done.

  2. In the Files list, click the file.
  3. At the top-right of the File page, click Annotate icon (Annotate).
  4. To zoom in, click Zoom icon (Zoom), touch the screen, and then stretch your fingers away from each other.
  5. Draw on the photo.
    1. Click Zoom icon (Zoom) > Draw icon (Draw).
    2. To change the line color, click Color icon (Color).
    3. To change the line thickness, click Line icon (Line).
    4. Draw on the photo.
  6. Add text to the photo.
    1. Click Zoom icon (Zoom) > Text icon (Text).
    2. To change the text color, click Color icon (Color).
    3. Click the photo.
    4. To set the font size, click Small, Medium, or Large on the keyboard shortcut bar.

    5. Enter the text.

      6. To move the text, click the photo again.

    6. Click Done on the keyboard shortcut bar.

      7. The text can't be modified, but you can click Undo to remove it.

  7. Click save (Save).

Before you open a file in ProjectSight for the first time, you need to download it.

If a PDF is updated in ProjectSight for the web, the changes are available in the mobile application after you sync the project. Then you can download the PDF again to see the changes.

  1. On the file, click Download file icon (Tap to download) > Yes.

    2. The file opens after it's downloaded.

  2. To return to the File Library, click arrow_back_ios.

Alternatively, you can click cloud_download (Download) on the navigation toolbar to download everything in the current folder.

You can only delete files on the Mobile File Uploads page.

  1. To open the Mobile File Uploads page, click add_circle (Upload) on the navigation toolbar.
  2. In the Files list, click the file.
  3. On the navigation toolbar, click delete (Remove).
