Search tips
- To search in a subset of topics, click in the search field and select a filter.
- To search for a specific word or phrase, add quotation marks around it (example: "budget column") in the search field.
- To remove highlighting on the search terms in a topic, click .
- To search within a topic, click , press Ctrl+F, and enter the search term.

Purchase order catalog
- Open the record settings.
- Click General Invoices or Purchase Orders.
- On the settings menu, click Purchase Order Catalog.
Each catalog item must have a unique code.
- In the purchase order catalog, click Add.
- In the Code cell, enter a unique code.
- Enter the description, unit of measurement (UOM), and unit price.
- Add a general note for the item.
You can export catalog items to an Excel file where you can edit them and create new ones. Then you can import the file, which can only be used once, back into ProjectSight. If there are any errors, you can review and fix them in a new Excel file.
- Record and field permissions are checked when you export catalog items to an Excel file and when you import the file into ProjectSight.
- In the Excel file, required fields are light red.
- The Excel file can only be imported into the portfolio or project that it was exported from.
- If you delete a catalog item in the Excel file, the item isn't deleted when you import the file back into ProjectSight.
- In the portfolio settings, open the purchase order catalog.
- On the navigation toolbar, click (Import/Export) > Export to Excel.
- Open the Excel file.
- On the Catalog Items tab, add new or edit catalog items.
- Save the Excel file.
- In ProjectSight, open the purchase order catalog.
- On the navigation toolbar, click (Import/Export) > Update from Excel.
- Select the Excel file to import.
The existing catalog items are downloaded in an Excel file.
- In the import error message, click Review Errors.
- Review the Feedback column and fix the associated errors.
- Save the Excel file.
- In ProjectSight, open the purchase order catalog.
- On the navigation toolbar, click (Import/Export) > Update from Excel.
- Select the Excel file to import.
The catalog items with errors are exported to a new Excel file.
You can delete catalog items that are in use. A deleted catalog item remains linked to a record if it was previously selected, but you can't select the deleted catalog item for anything else.
- Select the checkbox for the catalog item, and then click Remove.
