Search tips
- To search in a subset of topics, click in the search field and select a filter.
- To search for a specific word or phrase, add quotation marks around it (example: "budget column") in the search field.
- To remove highlighting on the search terms in a topic, click .
- To search within a topic, click , press Ctrl+F, and enter the search term.
Job costs
With the ProjectSight API, you can pull job costs from your ERP into the ProjectSight budget so that you can see the actual costs. You can also drill down into the job costs to see where the costs come from.
The following budget columns include the job costs in their calculations:
- Actual Cost To This Period
- Actual Cost This Period
- Actual Cost To Date
- Actual Cost To Complete
- Actual Percent Complete
Direct Costs column
In the budget, the Direct Costs column displays the non-commitment portion of the job costs where the type is Payroll, Expense, Subcontractor Invoice or General Invoice. You can limit access to this column in the budget field permissions in security roles.
- The Direct Costs amount are subtracted from the Uncommitted Costs column.
- The Direct Costs amount are added to the Projected Costs column and related field calculations.
Viewing job costs
In the budget, you can see the jobs costs for each budget item. The job costs are also included in budget snapshots.
Job costs are not included in Excel exports.
- In the Budget and Cost Management module, open the budget.
- To open a budget item, click the budget code in the grid.
- On the Summary tab of the Budget Item dialog, click the job cost.
The job cost information is read-only.
