Feature permissions

Several permissions are available on the Features tab of a security role.

You may need to grant a combination of feature, record, and field permissions to allow a specific action such as creating reports. For more details, see Permissions guide.

Name Description
Add lookup list items Edit lookup lists in the settings.
Portfolios settings Access the portfolio settings from the navigation menu.

If you select the Portfolio settings checkbox, the checkboxes for all the portfolio settings are selected automatically.
Portfolio settings - (Setting-Name) Access the (Setting-Name) setting in the portfolio settings.
Project settings Access the project settings from the navigation menu or the project dashboard.

If you select the Project settings checkbox, the checkboxes for all the project settings are selected automatically.
Project settings - Can unlock project settings Unlock project-level settings so that they are not inherited from the portfolio settings.
Project settings - Upload project images Upload images for the project tiles.
Project settings - (Setting-Name) Access the (Setting-Name) setting in the project settings.
Name Description
Can export projects Can export all the records as PDF reports from the current project.
Can perform actions on behalf of other users via the API Can submit requests to the API on behalf of another user. The API creates or updates the records as if the requests are from that user.
Can resend notifications Can resend portfolio invitations, project invitations, and assignment reminders.
Can unlock locked records Unlock drawing sets and records with a locked status.
Can view the history tab for all record types View the History tab in drawing sets, project forms, and all record types that have the tab.
Daily reports - Can access Equipment records for all Companies View and modify equipment entries for all companies in a daily report.

If this permission is not selected, users can only see records for their own company and not for any other companies.
Daily reports - Can access Labor records for all Companies View and modify labor details for all companies in a daily report.

If this permission is not selected, users can only see records for their own company and not for any other companies.
Daily reports - Can create Daily report records in the future Create daily reports for future dates.

If this permission is not selected, users can only create daily reports for today's date, based on the timezone in their profile, or earlier.
Daily reports - Can use AI Dailies on Mobile In the ProjectSight mobile app, create daily reports with the Daily Reports AI Assistant.
Drawings - Can create and modify public annotations Create and modify annotations that are visible to other users. This includes 360 captures, which are public annotations with their own permission configuration.

The ProjectSight 360 Capture module is available as an add-on for your account. This must be selected to enable users to capture 360 photos and videos.
Drawings - Can download as built Drawings Download as-built drawings with linked items.
Drawings . Can edit published Drawings Edit drawing details in the drawing viewer after the drawings are published.
Links - Create Link an item to another item.
Links - Delete Delete the link to an item.
Links - Modify Select whether the linked item is included in notifications. For linked files, edit the file name and description.
Links - View View a linked item.
Print Create the selected reports from the Reports section of the Features tab.
Specifications - Can create and modify public annotations Create and modify annotations that are visible to other users.
Specifications - Can download as built Specifications Download as-built specifications with linked items.
Workflow - Can view in record View the Workflow button in items that use a workflow template so that you can see the workflow steps.
  • Workflow managers of the applied workflow template and portfolio administrators can see this button even if this permission isn't selected in the security role.
  • This button is not available if the item is in read-only mode.

Can share views with users Share your custom views with selected users.
