Collaborate with Drawings

You can view drawings that are published from ProjectSight. You can also annotate a drawing from a record to identify the area in the drawing that needs action or information.

Your administrator sets the permissions that control what you can see and do in the app.

Drawings list view
  1. Total number of drawings
  2. Grouping by discipline
  3. Number of downloaded drawings in this group
  4. Select to download all the drawings in this group
  5. Select to download and view this drawing
  6. Title
  7. Sorts drawings. Sorting by 'Recently viewed' will only display recently viewed drawings. To view all drawings, select a different sorting method.
  8. Filters drawings. Filter by Group, Discipline, Drawings with annotations, or Drawings without annotations.

  1. Access recently viewed drawings
  2. Select + to attach the drawing to a record
  3. Sub-menu: Select to hide annotations or share the drawing
  4. View revisions
  5. Selected punch item pinned to the drawing

Navigate

  1. On the Project home page navigation bar, select Project menu icon to open the Project menu.
  2. To scroll the menu, swipe up or down.
  3. To open drawings, select Drawinsg icon Drawings.
  4. To close the menu, swipe left or select outside of the menu.

Viewing

  • Double tap on the drawing.

    • —Or—

  • Pinch 2 fingers together or apart to adjust the zoom
  1. Open the drawing.
  2. Select the drawing revision.
  3. Select the revision you wish to view. If the drawing revision has not been downloaded, select Download icon .
  1. Open the drawing.
  2. Select the annotation to display the card.
  3. Select the card to view the record.

Annotating

Write tool
  1. Open the Drawings record, then select Download icon to download a drawing.
  2. Select the drawing to open it.
  3. On the annotations toolbar, select the Write tool Write tool icon to choose either the Pencil tool Pencil tool icon or Text tool Text tool icon.

    4. —Or—

    Select the Shape tool Circle/square annotation icon to choose either the Circle Circle annotation icon or Rectangle Square annotation icon annotation box.

    —Or—

    Select cloud icon to add a cloud annotation.

  4. Touch the part of the drawing where you wish to drop the annotation.
  5. Select your annotation to make edits.

    6. An Edit pop-up displays.

  6. Select Edit.

    7. A quick menu displays.

  7. Select Style to adjust stroke and fill color, thickness, opacity, or border style.

    8. —Or—

    Select Link to attach the annotated drawing to a record.

    —Or—

    Select Copy to duplicate your annotation.

    —Or—

    Select Delete to remove an annotation.
    Select Undo icon to undo your last annotation action.

  8. To move the box, select and move it to the new location. To resize the box, use the handles to adjust the size.
  9. Swipe right or left to save your annotation, or select Blue x close icon to save your annotations and return to the Drawings list.
  1. Open the Drawings record, then select Download icon to download a drawing.
  2. Select the drawing to open it.
  3. On the annotations toolbar, select the Camera tool Camera tool icon to pin one or more photos or videos to your drawing.
  4. Touch the part of the drawing where you wish to drop the photo pin.

    5. A menu displays.

  5. Select Camera roll icon Photos/Videos to choose photos or videos from your camera roll.

    6. —Or—

    Select Take photos icon Take Photos to take photos or record a new video.

  6. Select Edit icon to edit photos with Photo properties Photo properties tool icon or to annotate your photos with the Text tool Text tool icon or Pencil tool Pencil tool icon.
  7. Select Done.

    8. A photo carousel displays with the number of pinned attachments.

  8. Select View All to view all your photos and videos in a grid.

    9. —Or—

    Select Add plus icon to add more photos or videos.

  9. Swipe up or down to return to the drawing annotations toolbar.
